Group Description

We're glad you're here. i2i is a community-based organization that celebrates and affirms Asian/Pacific Islanders who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning or Queer in the Chicago area. We've been around for over six years! We are the coolest, funnest, queerest, most forward-thinking pan-asian org in town. (Trikone-Chicago is also cool.)

Please visit our homepage for more exciting information! Check out our website at http://www.chicagoi2i.org. (There is a clickable hyperlink at the very bottom of this page that will take you directly to our acclaimed website. You can join the listserv by clicking the button on this page.

i2i aims to provide a safe space for lgbt asian youth, elders, and everyone in between. Each generation has their experiences to share and we all learn from each other. Know that you are loved, valued, and needed.

-- Creating a safe space for dialog is central to the mission of i2i. We can agree to disagree, and do it respectfully. In fact, we must do it respectfully. We must find better ways to love each other.

-- Each person that posts on the listserve should speak in "I" statements such as "I feel uncomfortable with...." rather than "you" statements such as "you are dead wrong and I'm dead right..." Thus we can always respect each other's views.
