      Position Summary:

      Reporting to the Program Director, the Sexual and Reproductive Health Program Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing reproductive and sexual health education related to disease and pregnancy prevention and healthy behaviors throughout all of SAYA! programs. The Coordinator will also provide referrals to health screenings (i.e. HIV/STD testing, interviews for risk reduction planning, etc.) as well as providing resources identification for youth seeking additional reproductive and sexual health diagnosis and treatment.

      Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

      1. Development and implementation of a program curriculum that includes reproductive and sexual health education related to disease and pregnancy prevention and healthy behaviors.
      2. Develop and maintain relationships with programs, schools, and other key stakeholders to encourage active participation in programs.
      3. Maintaining documentation of program activities and outcomes.
      4. Conducting periodic evaluation of programs measuring the effectiveness of services.
      5. Responsible for ensuring SAYA!'s Sexuality Guiding Principles (SGP) remains updated and easily accessible to all SAYA! staff.
      6. Monitors and coordinates use of SRH educational materials and supplies. Coordinates the ordering SRH educational materials and supplies.
      7. Stays current on research related to sexuality and reproductive health. Helps to identify articles to be read by other SAYA! staff.
      8. Working in collaboration with other SAYA! programs and partner organizations.
      9. Submitting timely program reports and data to Program Director.
      10. Establish rapport with youth and provide mentoring, guidance and overall direction and advocate on behalf of students when needed.
      11. Other duties as assigned.

      Core Qualifications:

      • Bachelor degree and experience in relevant field (Public Health, Education, Social Work, and Youth Development) required; Masters degree preferred.
      • At least two years of experience in service delivery and/or administration working with adolescents around youth development, healthy relationships, sexual health, and parenting
      • Experience with workshop facilitation and curriculum development.
      • Proven commitment to and knowledge of the South Asian community and/or youth development a plus.
      • Strong writing and oral communication skills.
      • Personal attributes should include the following: Committed to personal and professional growth, self-aware, optimistic, flexible problem solver, and a team-player.
      • Bilingual in a South Asian language a plus.
