      Dear Mike,

I have a similar problem with my 'findings':

With Family Tree DNA - YDNA I2b1; 95.41% Orcadian, 4.59% Middle Eastern (with both +/- 1.56%): mtDNA U5a1

With National Geographic's Geno 2.0 - 46% Northern European; 35% Mediterranean; 18% Southwest Asian (Hominid ancestry shown as 2.2% Neanderthal and 3.0% Denisovan); mtDNA U5a2; with British then German most likely sources.

      With the I-M223 Group - YDNA I2a2a3a2a (Z190+)

With the U5a FGS mtDNA Group - U5a2a1

      Very confusing.

      Regards,

      Martin

The poor people of the Orcadian project group must receive a lot of confused requests to join.  Mine is Orcadian 100% +/- 0.01%; my Geno 2.0 is Northern European, 1st Reference Population=British (UK), 2nd Reference Population=Germanic; my documented genealogy out to seven plus generations is 2/3 British and 1/3 Germanic.  This all seems to fit to me.  I take "Orcadian" to mean the British Isles and anywhere that touches the North Sea.
