      Hi Emily,

      Nice to hear from you.

I looked through the list of surnames you provided  and whilst I’ve seen a lot of Hostow/Hostiv surnames  I didn’t  actually  recognise any of  them – Some of the names look a little similar to  some of seen , but  are too different.

Would it be possible for you  to confirm which of the surnames listed  you believe are  Hostow origin (on passenger lists).   Were any other village names mentioned in records?  Perhaps you can upload(onto website) one of the passenger list records with Hostow on it so we can make further comment.

Hello everybody, I just joined. I'm not sure my ancestors (actually my husband's ancestors) are in this district, but they are very close. Many of the passenger lists state that Hostow was their last residence before embarking for the US.

I'm researching the following names from Bandrow Narowdowy/Bandrow/Jasien - Kiczurczak, "Listasak" (Les...czak?), Konik, Mural, Mysko, Gerak. My family members settled in western Pennsylvania (primarily Cambria and Allegheny counties) and the Akron/Cleveland areas of Ohio, from 1890-1920. I can share what information I have and hope to connect with others.
