Join Alayne Blickle & HCW on Whidbey Island in March 2005 for the 4-week
class series. Learn great ways to care for your horse while reducing mud,
managing manure, getting rid of weeds, making pastures productive, controlling
insects – and more! These exciting techniques will make your property more
enjoyable for you & healthier for your horse.

Class topics will be:
Ø Mud, Paddocks and Horses, March 1st, covers many great ways to reduce
mud on your farm.
Ø Managing Manure, March 8th, learn about composting horse manure and
other useful options for manure management.
Ø Pasture Management, March 22nd, covers basic techniques for good
pasture management, including managing small grazing areas, fencing and small farm
Ø Naturescaping for Horse Farms, March 29th, will introduce you to
techniques for landscaping horse farms with native plants & will cover ways native
plants & animals can benefit horse farms. Info on managing farm creeks,
wetlands, or ponds as well as on plants poisonous to horses will also be included.
