Welcome to Horizons Homeschool Co-op Newsletter. This is a group set up to provide information about Horizons Homeschool Co-op to prospective members. You may also use this group to keep abreast of Horizons news if your family cannot join right now, but may be interested in the future.
Horizons Homeschool Co-op is a dynamic, inclusive co-op, welcoming members from all faiths, races and educational styles. We believe that the most wonderful part of homeschooling is the opportunity to learn about others and ourselves in real-world situations. Horizons meets in North Potomac, in Montgomery County, Maryland. Our members come from Gaithersburg, Rockville, Germantown, Frederick, Mount Airy, and other nearby areas.
Horizons is organized and run by homeschool parents. We meet every Thursday for the purpose of providing fun, creative activities and classes for preschool through high school ages. Each member takes an active part in planning activities, teaching or assisting in classes, or providing administrative support.
Horizons Homeschool Co-op offers an assortment of parent-taught classes, as well as field trips, park days, social events, and a regular “Mom's Night Out.” Class offerings have included: Hands-on Science, Jason Project, Ecology, Creative Writing, Algebra, Ancient Egypt, Sign Language, Cooking, Family Math, Latin, Geography & Cultures, Chorus, Drawing, Crocheting, Before Five in a Row, and Preschool Sing & Sign.
Please contact our Membership Coordinator at Horizonsco_opnewsfirstname.lastname@example.org for more information about Horizons. The Coordinator will help you arrange to join us for a class day or activity to see if Horizons is a “fit” for your family. We are looking forward to being a part of your homeschool journey.
