This site is for those who have taken responsibility for their own donkey's health. Holistic simply means to take into account the whole body, which includes the personality, environment, and lifestyle, of the donkey, and not just treating the symptoms of an ailment. In most cases Allopathic and Holistic Medicine can and do work in harmony and both will be discussed here.Remember that there are no veterinarians on this list and the subjects discussed herein are suggestions only. A veterinarian is still the one person you need to see for the proper diagnosis of your burro's ailments, and illnesses. Donkey Keeping, Care and First Aid will be the main topic of conversation however chit chat is encouraged. Old Wives Tales will be discussed and Quoting Old Farmers is encouraged. As always, think before reacting and the use of the ideas posted at this site are at your own risk. Some posts will have to be "taken with a grain of salt" but for the most part there are some great ideas in Natural Donkey Care. This list is for all breeds of Donkeys. Miniature, Stanard (including small and large), Mammoth also known as American Jackstock or Jack Stock, Burro wild or not, Burros from the BLM,Spotted, and any other breed or cross breed you can think of.
