I remember seeing a Long Ranger episode where the Lone Ranger discusses how and when he uses his guns for law enforcement - I would call this The Lone Rangers code of using guns - Not the same as Code of Ethics. He mentions that he only uses his guns to wound a known law breaker when it is the only way to put a stop to the menace. He mentions that he tries never to kill any person but just to wound them if necessary to stop the crime.  I wish I had the quotes from the TV show - all police departments could use this code to stop all the killings going on.

If anyone can provide the quotes The Lone Ranger uses, I would love to have a copy.
