Re: [HelpingHandsandEyes] Greetings from Cody, WY
- Happy New Year to you and everyone else on the list. I'm sorry you had to give up your loom.
Knitting is a good option. Is it possible for you to use a rigid heddle loom or an inkle loom if
you decide you want to weave again? They are not an AVL 16 shaft of course but weaving is
pleasant to do. Even plain weave can be interesting.

I wonder why we are such a quiet group. I do reread many of your past messages once in awhile..Today is a beautiful day here in Cody, bout 6" snow on the ground and the sun is shining brightly. Weather is in the high 40's.I have not been weaving much. Had to sell my beloved 16 shaft AVL loom due to health reasons. And yes, I do miss it but it went to a good home. The past few months I have just been knitting hats and scarves on circular looms. Have finally used up all my silk yarns (some hand spun and hand dyed) knitting the silk long wrap around scarves. Now I am knitting with hand spun and dyed wool yarns, which I refer to as my character yarns As I can no longer red large print books I use the books on tape to listen to.My eye sight is not getting any better. In November I had my 31st shot of lucentsis put in the right eye. The left is of no use to me. Also, had my 87th birthday this past summer. Hope to hear back from some of you soon. Keep in good health and be happy. Vernice Myers vwm@...
