First of all, join a perl group such as, groups.yahoo.com/group/perl-
      beginner

A cgi-bin is a directory where some hosts like you to keep your
scripts. If your host supports perl/cgi, they will tell you where the
cgi-bin is, or where you must create one.

Perl is available for ALL platforms - see www.perl.org or
www.perl.com, or for Windows, see www.activestate.com

Perl tutorials can be found all over the net.
      A good start is:
      http://www.lies.com/begperl/
      http://cgi.resourceindex.com
      http://www.cgi101.com
      or
      http://www.perl.com
