A random though: The sun is shining & I'm doing my own schoolwork right alongside my son in my sunroom. Life is very 'sunny' at this moment :)

Some people won't come out in the 40's and others need the outside time no matter how cold.  I think the way we have been handling it so far has been fine.   I'd like to add that I really love this group!

Rain we can all figure out. But - I know several weeks now Teresa and I have sat out there at Odell Weeks in the wind and been pretty miserable...even though it was 40s/50s...
If there is to be a standard "Park Day" location and a standard "Alternate Park Day" location - then shouldn't there be a standard for when to attend one or the other?
Also - FWIW...I have been so grateful that folks have been willing to get together before the "official" 12:30 start on Park Day so that we can socialize a bit longer before I have to run off to my job. I really appreciate that.
A little flexibility can be a good thing...

I feel very strongly that the park should stay at the same place every Thursday.  The reason for this is that in recent times it has felt like the whole playgroup was dissolving, but then it's seemed to pull together again and people have come.  We really need to keep some consistency to keep the critical mass of kids that make people want to come back week after week.  Last minute changes are going to be really frustrating to the people who don't check their email and don't realize that someone has decided to move the group at the last minute.  I tell people I meet who homeschool to come check out the park on Thursday and what if it's the one time they decide to try it and everyone is at a different park?

I started this playgroup with Chris McKeel a long time ago and I have never made a request like this.  There is no leader everything is by group consensus.  There are no real rules.... but I would like to make one request of everyone and hope that you could humor me....

Please keep the location of playgroup consistent unless there is a real weather issue.  Please don't promote alternative plans during playgroup time on this group unless it's really really cold, raining, or otherwise disgusting weather.

Sorry for stepping on my soapbox, but I really want the playgroup to stay strong.

Anyone interested in checking out the new library park? I know the older children probably like Odell though, since it
        has a skate park.
What do you think for a one time location change?
        Just a thought.
