Re: [HOn3] Marion Steam Shovel Model 40
The steam shovel as such was invented and patented 1839 by William Otis.
Barnhart and Huber, two of the founders of the Marion Steam Shovel
Company, received US Patent 285100 on Sep 18, 1883 for their design
and the company was registered 1884. I don't know however when the
first model 40 steam shovel was built, nor even when Marion built its
first shovel at all.
Googling around I got the impression that the model numbers reflect
the size rather than the year the model was issued. I saw pictures of
a smaller model 21 and a bigger model 70. Sorry not to have better

Why not get another email address, like one on Gmail or Hotmail and join
again and use that address for the time being.
Both your old and your new membership would continue.
I have no other suggestions. I don't know anything about Yahoo email
accounts. I use Outlook Express.
Timid about painting your backdrop?
