When we started this list (1995) it was to do
just what you mention. Nice that it's working out.
But from the group, thankyou for your thankyou.
We are glad to be of assistance when we can.
- I'll add that many of us, after having seen the same problem several
times, are getting so that we've forgotten that we have seen the it
before. I can always count on the list to act as my institutional
memory, especially when my personal memory isn't working so well.
As a relatively early participant -- I think I am getting close to the
one decade mark -- I agree with Stephen that things are working out
well. This is one of my all time favorite lists, especially in terms of
the sharing info to BS ratio (although I don't mind a little BS from
time to time...). We're not perfect, but we're damn good!
Thanks to everyone for making this possible and to the founders for
having the wisdom to get the ball rolling.
