Yes, inside the rubber boot is those 1k ohm resistors.

Yes, the plug wire is still one piece with the new caps. I cut the wire at the end of the resistors and installed the new ones. I am using resistor spark plugs so I didn’t use a resistor plug cap. My engine is now running like it did when it was new.

      Excellent.

So that what your corrosion pic last week?
What was the cartridge looking piece next to the connector?  Is it a resistor of some sort?  Is your plug wire still one piece with the ignition coil?

      Thanks,

        Mike

Yes ... replacing the corroded plug caps fixed my problem. Yesterday I went flying for an hour and a half and she is running great. Eleven hours now after the new plug caps and back to running great.

Thanks ... I replaced the float needle valves also, thinking that was my issue.

I recently had the same problem and replaced the spark plug end cap with a NGK SB05E cap for about $10. I wish I could tell you that I've been flying it for hundreds of hours no problem, but I'm having what I believe is a carb issue that cropped up at the same time. I'm running very rich on 1 side and think I have a float valve problem. I have parts and hope to fix it tonight.
