is that HKS was not able to cash in on the exploding Drone market as the power, efficiency and reliability was there .... unfortunately the govt in typical style zoomed on up to the larger drones which cost a few million each and used the Rotax 914. For the right size plane and mission the HKS would be superior to the 914. I dont know if
HKS company actually pursued it.... you have to market to the govt but I thought the turbo HKS with significant power at hi altitude would be great for a surveillance plane at hi altitudes for 12 or 16 hour long durations etc.
