7723RE: [HKS-engines] Re: HKS700E Exhaust one more thing

Looks like there is a ball joint at the muffler where the two exhaust tubes come together.

On my muffler I used slip joints, we found by anchoring the muffler to the engine plate stops shaking the muffler to destruction.

I cannot tell from the photo if you have any flexible joints in the exhaust pipe between

the engine and the muffler and if you dont the vibration of the HKS will work to

fatigue the exhaust system and cause a failure somewhere.   The Rotax engines

and others had some clever ball joint connections held together by strong springs

that absorbed vibration and engine movement etc.  if you need any ideas .... or could

possibly cut out these joints and add them in to your system.    Strangely I've never

      seen anything similar on motorcycles.
