My trike has an MTOW of 1000lb. Climb at gross averages 500 fpm from 18KS (1270 MSL). About what you'd expect from a C150 with two up.
If you consider the 150 and the 701 on the basis of power loading you have the 150 at 16 lb/hp and the 701 at 18.33 (take off power for 5 minutes at cruise it's 19.64).
If you drop down to the original J3 Cub (1220 MTOW and 65 hp) you get a power loading of 18.77 lb/hp.
Performance would probably be in the same ball park for all four.

      Hi HKS group,

Is the 700e enough engine to fly two people in a Zenith 701?  Are there any CH701/700e flying?

The current 701 has a 1100lb gross weight, the original version which flew with a Rotax 503 and 582 had a 960lb gross weight.

      Any opinions, facts?

      Thank you,

      MB
