- Jun 14, 2016That's part of the problem with the manufactures ... they hold you hostage on the cost of there parts ... the coil from HKS is $410 and the coil from Nology is a whole lot less. If HKS would share the settings within the CDI then an aftermarket programmable CDI could be used that is probably a better unit and cost 1/4 of what HKS charges. They miss the boat ... instead of trying to retire on just selling 500 engines for $10k try selling 10,000 engines for $5k and they'd still make money.
