- Mar 11, 2016I've used Ballistic LiFe batteries and am now using Battery Tender batteries. The Ballistics worked well, but I like the Battery tender because it has more wire attachment options, top or side on all 4 corners. and is less expensive. It also has a more regular shape for mounting. It comes in different capacities and saves quite a bit of weight over the Ultrastart Reds I started with.
