I finally found the problem with my engine today.  I removed the air cleaners to see if they were restricting the airflow and ran the engine.  No change to the RPM, but I noticed fuel dripping out of the carb after shut down.  I  took the carb apart to look for the fuel leak.  When I was examining the diaphragm, I found that if I stretched it a little, a cut would open up. That would explain the problems with the lower power.  I don't think that the leaking float needle would cause the issues with power, but I have ordered new parts and will rebuild the carb. I also order a Carb mate to synch the carbs with as well.

To prove that the problem was the cut in the diaphragm, I patched it with a little RTV and ran up the engine.  I got 5850 at static.  After that I shut down and placed an order for parts.  Everything should be good to go by next weekend.

      Thank you,
      Jim Rieck
