Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), or more accurately, High Dosage Oxygen Therapy (HDOT} is fast becoming one of the more successful therapies for children with Autism. Autism is a neurological injury whether caused by toxicity, birth injury or unknown. Some amazing results are being obtained, especially with young children. It is time to begin discussing this option and learning from other parents who have tried it. Congressman Burton recently held congressional hearings on Autism and HBOT was a topic. In addition, funding has been approved for studies for treating autism with HBOT. If you are a parent or member of the autistic community or of the professional community, we welcome you to join this group. SPECIAL NOTE: This group is not for the discussion of mHBOT (mild hyperbaric therapy). If you have questions on mHBOT as compared to HDOT, we will get them answered for you, however HDOT is our main topic.
