Welcome to the Yahoo! Group Managers Forum. You are receiving this message
automatically as a member of our GroupManagersForum. We are glad you took
the time to join our group.

      * Our GMF Group's web resources are very open and very public. Our message
archives, bookmarks, and more are viewable and searchable by non-members.
GMF message archives are indexed by major search engines. Unfortunately,
due to Yahoo! restrictions, you must be a member of GMF and logged into
Yahoo! to access our Files and Photos sections.

      * We expect members to post and act responsibly. If you are not
sure what that means, you can check out the Yahoo Groups guidelines
      at http://groups.yahoo.com/local/guidelines.html . Solicitations are
off topic and will be deleted without comment.

      * Email attachments are permitted! To prevent malicious attachments, avoid
spam, off-topic messages, and certain kinds of spoofing, ALL messages sent
to GMF are moderated. (NOTE: Responsibly trimmed replies will move through
the pending queue much faster.) Despite these measures, be aware that there
is no way to prevent email address spoofing; you are encouraged to be vigilant
against any and all threats arriving via email. Your GMF moderators make no
guarantees regarding the safety of emails arriving from this or any other
      Yahoo! Group address.

      * We are always looking for suggestions from our members to make this
group better for all. Feel free to address any questions, comments, or
concerns directly to the group moderators (even those who choose to hide
their email address!) via email to GroupManagersForum-owner@yahoogroups.com .

      * Visit - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GroupManagersForum/join - to
check your GMF membership options. You may elect to conceal your email
and IP address from moderators and members alike. This limits you to
posting only from the web site, but will preserve your privacy to a
greater extent than possible when using email. Due to the extremely
open nature of the web-based content areas at GMF, we recommend you
try this handy, but often underrated feature of Yahoo! Groups.

      * You may choose to get GMF messages individually, in a Daily Digest,
Special Notices, or no email at all. If using Daily Digest and posting
by email, please trim the Digest portion of the message before posting.

      GMF Mission Statement:

We strive to be a resource of the HIGHEST QUALITY for Owners and
Moderators of Yahoo! Groups. We allow as much information as possible
from our group to be accessed by visitors! Would you like to be a better
Yahoo! Group Owner and/or Moderator? Would you like to see even more
improvements in Yahoo! Groups? We discuss our experiences as both group
Owners and Moderators, share ideas for promoting and customizing the
content areas, and offer various techniques for managing groups.

      GMF History:

This group was the former Club Founders Forum (CFF) and was converted
from a Yahoo! Club into a Yahoo! Group which we then renamed as GMF.
Yahoo! announced the acquisition of eGroups on 6-28-00 and launched
Yahoo!Groups on 1-25-01. The migration of Clubs to Groups began on
2-6-02. Our club converted on 2-14-02. You will sometimes see Yahoo!
Clubs that were converted to Groups referred to as "Grubs."
