Group Description

Welcome to all and thank you for those that stayed with us thru all this time. As times rolls on, everything in life evolves, changes or renews themselves; this time is our drum that has reborn, we have a new drum and with that said our name has changed we are now GREASEWOOD SINGERS, honoring the place where dad and I come from Greasewood, AZ. We still sing hard and proud as we did from day one. Thanks to Ben and Kevin for always being there to back me up ; also thanks to all the singers I had the honor to sing with, hope see sing with you again soon like the good old days. If you have questions or concerns give me a howl there is not such things as stragers just people we haven't met.

We are a southernw drum group settled in Phoenix AZ, within the drum many nations are represented: Comanche,Navajo,Hopi,Cheyenne,Pima and others. With singers coming and going we been singing together for over two years to date, we are learning new and old songs while keeping strong ties with each of our own cultures and traditions. Always keeping in mind where we are coming from, many of us had sung with other drum groups in the past and we brought the knowledge from our elders to the drum, we follow protocol as we were taught. I would like to send shout out to my boys Kevin G, Ben B, the one and only Mario Teneker and Southern Nations, YB stile and George T. Comanche Moon singers and Elton Yellowfish, they guys at Blue Thunder, New Circle, Panther Creek and Punkin Vine, is always an honor to sing with all of you anytime. anyplace.

Hope you enjoy your staying in this group, post you powwow pics or comments, messages, powwow calendar.
