Attention: Texas Commission on Jail Standard:

Re: Location: The Midland County Sheriff's Office Central Detention Center, 400 S. Main, Midland, TX

Problem: Cell Unit Section housing 30 plus Inmates, No Air Condition, No Fans to circulate Air in Texas EXTREME HEAT up to 110 degrees.

The Inmates are being held in cells without Air Conditioning or some type of fan to circulate the extreme Texas heat. Many complaints have been filed by the Inmates to the staff. The Inmates cannot buy through commissary bottle water through commissary cold coke or juice. No Ice to cool their water.

Inmates have not been taken outside for fresh air or sun with excuse short-handed; must have had enough help to pass inspection with the Commission in June.

This is the location: The Midland County Sheriff's Office Central Detention Center is located at 400 S. Main, Midland, Tx

The Texas Commission on Jail Standards passed Midland Jails inspected in June 2011 with the Air Condition broken at the time.

Thanking you in advance for immediate attention to this serious situation.
