      Dear Friends,
Re: Gatherings XIII, a conference devoted to Bennettian Systematics

It is still not too late to register for Gatherings XIII, this
year's annual conference devoted to the work of John Godolphin
Bennett, Anthony G. E. Blake, Richard Heath, Anthony Hodgson, Richard N.
Knowles, and other theorists and practitioners of Bennettian
Systematics, a general, systematic method of progressive, creative
understanding of, and action within, complex wholes.

Bennett based his Systematics originally on indications given in the
teachings of Gurdjieff regarding the use of numbers and symbols in the
transmission of the knowledge of objective consciousness and as
mnemonics for and indices of stages of inner development. From
Gurdjieff's focus on the Laws of Three and Seven, Bennett and others
at the Institute for the Comparative Study of History, Philosophy and
the Sciences, based in England and starting in the late 1940s, began to
generalize the esoteric use of number and symbol into a rational
exploration of structure, information, meaning, and the comprehension of
      complexity.

Bennettian Systematics has evolved into applications in a number of
fields including philosophy (the ontology of the present moment),
scientific method, cosmology, theology, inner development psychology,
communication and dialogue, education, organizational improvement, and
      globalization and global transformation studies.

A feature of this year's conference is the Lattice of Understanding
recently developed by Antony Blake and Richard Heath and which puts the
12 systems of Bennettian Systematics into a clear, interconnected
      developmental picture.

Systematics is a discipline for anyone with one foot in religion,
spirituality, the Fourth Way, Sufism, esotericism, Traditionalism, or
inner development and the other foot in the search for connections with
      contemporary scientific and rational vistas.

the nearby Claymont Society for Continuous Education, the intentional
community founded by Bennett in 1976. Call Amy Silver at 304-725-4437

This year's conference will be very exciting and thoughtful.
Don't miss out on the ongoing creative development of this
      fundamental spiritual-rational discipline.
