Group Description

Yes, a minority within a minority (a bit like the little-known Death Rabbit sub-cult of Humakt) - a list dedicated to doing Gloranthan Wargaming using Hordes of the Things rules. We are firmly of the view that swearing IS big and IS clever so robust language is allowed.

Apparently as YGGMVABWD it has come to our attention that people are using other rule sets to wargame Glorantha, hey ho, the more the merrier, come one, come all. So if your using Battlelore, Command and Colours, Tiddlewinks or Strip Golf (that little known Ernalda Cult with their colourful Hole in One festival) pull up a virtual pew, clear your throat and fill your boots, its good to see you.

The Glory Geeks grew out of a conversation between Richard Crawley, Sebastian Rogers and James Ewins at the third Berkeley Hordes of the Things gathering. We found that we had a shared nostalgia for past Runequest campaigns and reckoned we could combine Glorantha with 25mm HOTT. Sebastian made his house available for a weekend, Brian Pierpoint, Simon Miller, and Ian Notter joined the gang and Glory Day was born.

Since then Glory Day has grown and found new venues and the Geeks may be seen introducing the joys of Gloranthan HOTT at various gaming events. Natural competition has kicked in and produced a giant Crimson Bat, an enormous Gonn Orta and several thousand Glorantha-specific figures from Sartarites to Sun Domers and from Broo to Baboons.

Come and join us; the Hero Wars are yet to be fought!
