      Hi Everybody,

THIS WEEK…. ON OFFICER DARIN CHINN'S SOUTH PARK/GEORGETOWN POLICE
      BLOTTER:

I tried to get this done before tonight's meeting at the South Park
Community Center, but a big fight call came out in West Seattle, so I
had to drop my computer and rush out there. Needless to say I didn't
make my deadline. Sorry it's late, but here it is…

Monday 2-26-07: Officers Kate Tierney, Erin Rodriguez, and Mark
Spadoni responded to an assault-in-progress 911 call in the 1000
block of S. Rose St. An intoxicated woman had returned to her
boyfriend's residence, an argument ensued, and the woman began
breaking her boyfriend's property. The woman attempted to leave in
her boyfriend's car. The boyfriend blocked the driver door to
prevent the woman from driving drunk, and called 911. The woman hit
her boyfriend in the head, neck, and chest, and attempted to choke
him, after he called 911. Officer Tierney arrived and witnessed the
woman strike the boyfriend in the head. The officers immediately
      arrested the woman.

Out of Areas of Prostitution" (S.O.A.P.) order and was in a S.O.A.P.
area. The officers arrested the woman, but later released her, as it
was determined that the specific S.O.A.P. area was not listed in her
S.O.A.P. order. This usually occurs when a person who has been
convicted of prostitution tells the judge that he/she lives in that
      S.O.A.P. area.

assaulted her three weeks ago when he punched her in the legs. The
officers contacted the husband who said that his wife just goes crazy
and is evil and he did not touch her. The officers arrested the man
      of domestic violence assault.

Thursday 3-1-07: Officer Ken Mazzuca and Dept. of Corrections
(D.O.C.) Officer Lisa Tavarez conducted a home visit on a woman under

attempted to purchase food at a restaurant. The restaurant's
employees advised the citizen that the bill was a counterfeit and
gave it back. The citizen called police and turned the counterfeit
bill over to Officer Vanskike… who used it to buy lunch…just
kidding! Officer Vanskike submitted the counterfeit bill to the
Seattle Police Evidence Section and completed a police report.

Thursday 3-1-07: Officer Jim Patchen and other officers responded to
a suicidal man call in the 8800 block of 5 Av. S. The man reportedly

MDMA, a.k.a. "Ecstasy" is a synthetic hallucinogen with amphetamine-

question. The man said that he assumed that the vehicle was
abandoned so he thought it would be okay if he and the woman just sat
in it. The officers found that the woman had a No-Contact Order

transported him to the Southwest Precinct. Mr. Guy Crow, owner of
the lot, had told Officer Chinn that no one should be living in the
storage lot and anyone found there was trespassing. Officer Chinn

admonished the suspect from the Planet Georgetown bar, and at the
request of Jules Maes Saloon employees trespass admonished him from
their establishment too. The officers told the man to walk home (He
lived nearby) which he agreed to do. Approximately six minutes later
the officers had to return because the suspect had returned and

8 Av. S. The officers stopped the van as it was leaving the area.
There were two women and one man in the van. The officers determined
that the man and one of the women were wanted for D.O.C. Felony
Escape from Community Custody warrants and arrested them. Further
investigation revealed that the man and woman with the warrants had
picked up the third woman somewhere in Downtown Seattle. The man
smoked the last of his crack then went "Bonkers" and started yelling
at the woman who he had picked up. He accused her of stealing his

third person, who ran off with it. The suspect was wanted for a
Tukwila Police Misdemeanor Warrant and was arrested. The "Victim"
was found to be clear of any wants/warrants.

I'm pretty sure that the "Victim" was advised to quit trying to buy

friends and were basically clowning around. Officer Chinn told the
boys there is no play fighting allowed in the center, and when the
staff gives them directions they need to follow them. The two boys
apologized to Coordinator Eric Bondeson, and agreed to leave the

      Message 2 of 9 , Mar 26, 2007
        The South Park/Georgetown Police Blotter.

This is Officer Darin Chinn's unofficial "Police Blotter" for the
South Seattle Neighborhoods of South Park and Georgetown.

Officer Chinn reads all police reports that are written by Southwest
Precinct Patrol Officers and Detectives who work in South Park and
Georgetown. Officer Chinn then gives a "Reader's Digest" account of
the significant incidents responded to, crimes investigated, and
arrests made. Officer Chinn also gives an account of his own less
exciting daily Community Police Duties and proactive patrols.

It is hoped that these "Blotter" style reports help to inform
community members on local police responses, and how their police
        officers work.

The South Park/Georgetown Police Blotter can be found on-line at the
both the South Park Listserv and the Georgetown Listserv bi-monthly…
        pretty much.

Wednesday 8-1-07: Officer Marie Gochnour was on patrol northbound on
the 16 Av. S. (South Park) Bridge when she noticed that there were
donuts scattered all over the roadway. At this time a man came
running out into the street and flagged Officer Gochnour down. The
man reported that he was delivering pastries to Boeing when someone
stole his delivery truck that he had left parked and running.

turned around and followed the trail of donuts southbound on 14 Av.

the Highpoint neighborhood, and became trapped in a closed
construction area, where officers took him into custody.
Approximately 95 percent of the truck's load was lost during the
          incident.
Officers advised the suspect of his Miranda Rights. The suspect said
that he had been drinking and doing drugs all night and needed a way
to get home. He was unable to get a cab, so when he noticed the
