      Clayton Library December closures

      Clayton Library closures for December:

       

             Friday, December 7, the library will not open until 2:00PM.

       

      Saturday through Tuesday, December 22-25.

       

      Monthly programming

      Classes are approximately 1 hour, unless otherwise noted.

       

      To register online for Clayton Library programs, please visit the HPL events calendar at: http://hpl.evanced.info/eventcalendar.asp , and in the location box at the top right of the screen choose “Clayton,” then click the find button.  Note the month at the top of the screen.  If it is not the month you want, clicking on the month’s abbreviation will bring up the desired month and the events currently scheduled for that month.

       

      Find the program you desire to attend and click on it. On the next screen, fill in the name and telephone number fields and click on the ‘Complete registration” button.  You are finished and registered.

       

      The next screen will tell you if your reservation has been confirmed. When you have completed the registration, you may go back to the Events calendar and register for other events. If you have any questions on registering online, please call 832-393-2600.

      Genealogy Basics Boot camp

      Saturday, December 7th, 2013 1:00-2:30PM

      Interested in your family history, but not quite sure where to start?  Found some information, but need to know what else is available?  Join the boot camp for an exercise in genealogical research resources!  This session focuses on starting genealogical research by examining basic tools, such as the pedigree chart, and basic research strategies.  Learn about the different genealogical materials available to researchers and how they lead to other sources.  Reservations required.  Please call 832-393-2600.  Adults/Teens.

       

      Clayton Library Orientation

      Saturday, December 21st, 2013 10:30-11:45AM

      Learn about the vast resources and how to efficiently utilize genealogical research materials housed at the Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research.  No reservations needed, meet at the Information Desk in the library.  Adults/Teens.

       

      Genealogy Technology Q & A

      Saturday, December 28th, 2013 1:30-2:30PM

      Bring your devices and genealogy related tech questions to Clayton for an informal question and answer session to answer your information woes. Reservations required.  Please call 832-393-2600.  Adults/Teens.
