      A Blue Parrotlet with few spots of white in its nape and headcap is considered “heavy pied” or “light pied”?

      What about a white (or lutino) cockatiel with some melanic spots?

      Hi Dilson, A light pied is a dark bird having a few areas WITHOUT melanin. A heavy pied is a mostly white or yellow bird having a few areas WITH melanin. A

        A heavy pied is a mostly white or yellow bird having a few areas WITH melanin.
        A medium pied falls somewhere in between.
