I haven't started my G59 kit yet, but in reading the postings on the group site, it scares the hell out of me. I know electronics but the computer knowledge required for the testing and operation of the rig is another matter. It all sounds overwhelming.

Is GSDR giving you the usb device not found error? or is windows?I assume GSDR.In that case, do you have G3020 selected as the radio in GSDR?Bruce
You have mixed COM port connection with external Si570 oscillator. In Setup->General->Genesis config->Port connection set your COM port (onboard COM or USB->COM adapter, GSDR do not know difference). Only if you have external Si570 (QRP2000) then you should check "USB Si570 board" (another option is to use QRP2000 as Radio Model choice: all commands are send/received over USB).
