             The DEVIL

The Devil got on a train
one a bright and sunny day,
And began hopping in and out of people`
telling them evil things to say,

      First he blacken their Hearts
so he could reflect from their eyes,
So they would hate the sight of Truth`
and believe in all his lies,

      Painting images of destruction`
that once offended them in their sight,
Replacing it with a thrill to Kill` and
a hunger to curse ... scream ... and Fight

      As the tension grew stronger
      the train began to Heat,
      With Demonic chants of corruption
      spilling from their seats,

Then the Devil began to laugh`
then the Devil began to smile,
      As people began throwing
      punches standing in isle,

      Racial slurs and threats
      coursing through the air,
      Destroying peace and quiet`
that the Devil could not bare,

Then the Devil called on his demons
to finish what he had done,
As they ate away at peoples morals`
      turning tragedy into fun,

Then Satan looked around and saw
an old lady sitting in the rear,
With a peaceful expression upon her face`
that showed no sign of Fear,

      Then he told a imp
      to move in her direction`
not knowing she had a fortress
      of Devine protection,

When the imp reached her body`
then Satan told it to attack,
Carrying its nit kit of Evil`
      with serpents on its back,

Then it stood at her feet`
grinning at her like a snake,
Then she flashed the Holy Bible`
and this was more than it could take,

Then the imp leaped out the window`
cursing the name of Christ and GOD,
As the old lady held the Bible above her head`
      like a mighty Holy rod,

Then she walked towards the Devil`
still protected by Gods Holy yoke,
Then the Devil in all his demons vanished
in a torrent of ash and SMOKE,

Then all the people ceased their fighting`
as as hatred left their face,
Some looked dazed and half amazed`
how time had changed its pace,

      And then their tongues relaxed`
as their eyes took back its glow,
And their fists turned into open hands` and
remembered the kinder things they all use to know,

      Then the train became peaceful`
as it slowed to a silent stop,
As the old lady clung to her Faithful Bible`
where Demons and Devils CAN NOT HOP.
