One point I have found interesting is that misgenation
basically goes on between african americans all the time.
Meaning a black identified mulatto that has a child with
another black identified mulatto still has a half white
child even if they don't have the biracial identity.

      Therefore the european genetic legacy
      continues into the next generation
even if the more obvious cultural roots are not there. ea---

***The terms "Black" (a 'racial' category) and
"African-American" (an 'ethnic' category) ARE NOT
synonymous and should not be used interchangeably.

***The majority of the people (+70%) who are of the
      `African-American' "ethnicity" ARE NOT `black'-"raced".

The `African-American' "ethnicity" is composed largely
of people who are of a `Multi-racial"-lineage.

*** The term `multiracial' is not limited to `bi-racial'.

***Most people of the `African-American' "ethnic" heritage
      – are actually AT LEAST 1/3 (or more) "non-black"
(and the term "non-black" is not just limited to
being of some part 'white' lineage) and, contrary
to popular myth, MOST of those MGMS who are of the
'African-American' "ethnic" heritage do not have to
trace back to a `great-grandparent' (or farther) to
find a non-`black' ancestor in their family lineage.

***Most `African-Americans' do want their `multi-racial'
lineage and heritage to be acknowledged and to have
the freedom to openly proclaim and embrace it.

In addition to their 'Euro' lineage, most MGM people
who lay claim to being any part 'African-American' (AA)
ethnicity, also like to embrace their Amerindian lineage.

For most AAs, the matter as to what specific
Amerindian 'tribe' or specific European 'nationality'
they are descended, is no more of an issue than
would be knowing from what specific West
      African 'tribe' their lineage began.

What is important is that they are able to openly
embrace and acknowledge all three segments of the
multiracial lineage which created thier "ethnicity"
-- without harrassment or application of
'one drop rule' blood percentages and quantums.

Plus a black self-identified mulatto has a child with black identified mgm.So the next generation actually assemulate into the AA community and culture. Thus this explain the result of some AAs having lighter or different complexions and features.
