The hub is Keyde. Has a reduction but uses discs, not gears. Similar to the Nuvinci. Very quiet. I limited to 12A. I'm finishing a pack with 18650 ( 6s4p). I

A bare Sturmey S5 weighs 967g in an alloy shell and 1041g in a steel shell. S5s were reliable and the Shimano has another half a century of manufacturing
