I'm Alan and I live in the NW 'burbs some 30 miles outside Chicago.

I heard of the group on the Bicycle Restoration list-server and have a
particular interest in old British 3-speeds, with the obvious emphasis
      on Sturmey-Archer!

I recognise a couple of member's names already and I was on the
3-speed tour around Lake Pepin with Mike from Dundee last year - hi, Mike.

I have far too many bikes, according to my wife, many of which were
sourced at the Working Bikes co-operative in Chicago where I volunteer
      most Saturdays (www.Workingbikes. org).

I have several Raleighs and my recent pride & joy is a Raleigh Lenton
Sports "convertible" from 1962, with the Cyclo-Benelux 2-speed on a
three-speed hub, which I bought just after last Xmas off of Craig's
      List ...
