Re: [Geared_hub_bikes] New S2C grinds a lot
- I'd be so tempted to take it apart anyhow just to see how it works. But try the warranty route first. Either way I would not ride on it like that as that would only make things worse.

So bought a new S2C, in the box and shiny new. I slipped a cog onto it and tried to turn it but it sounded like a pepper grinder. I've read a few blogs that said the cones were shipping tight to prevent damage, so I loosened them off a bit and it still seems like something on the inside of the hub is jammed up or just not working right.
Should I just complain to sturmey and hope for a new hub? I built it into a wheel already so I don't really need another hub... some bloggers report getting new innards shipped to them? I'd rather learn to fix mine though, this seems to be more than just tight cones, since I loosened those right off before I took the guts out of the hub. Any ideas?
