Some time ago there was a discussion regarding using derailleur indexed shifters on an IGH with the aid of a travel agent type of device. Per all data available Shimano and Campy shifters will not work well in this application due to the non linearity of their cable pull from step to step.

Per posts on Bike Forums this is supposed to not be true of SRAM indexed shifters for their rear derailleurs. They are supposed to have linear pull from step to step. I have not personally verified this but it is something that could be worth checking out and verifying. If true then this would provide an additional source for IGH shifters of various types.

If any member has a bike with relatively new SRAM rear derailleur and shifters then cable travel measurement, and reporting of results, would be of interest.
