      Hello Igor,

A Russian-speaking person residing in Western Ukraine would be
shot if that person protested publicly against the junta in Kiev., no?

No protestants were shot in Lviv and Ternopil. I agree that the people
in Ukraine are alarmed, nervous and not always ready to dialog. And
right-wing groups may be a "dark horse".
But the situation in Lviv at given moment (just what I see now) is
steady, the city lives it's usual life. the main contradiction was not
between Russian and Ukrainian speaking people, but between followers
of Janykovych and new power followers. Russian speaking people are
generally treated normally in Lviv. For sure most people in Lviv are
Ukrainian speaking and for sure there may be provocateurs (I was an
evident), simply crazy people, criminals, etc
Now "nothing unites so effectively as joint enemy" - people starting
to see the main enemy in Putin and his gvmt, - in the external danger
      - but not in the Russians and Russian-speaking people living in
Ukraine. I see this tendency and hope that it would help the nation to
