We don't have very many Gold awardees, but the Service Unit has been purchasing the official Gold Award mug for the girls.  It's just a token.

For our Silver awardees, we've been giving them silver (tone) frames ($4.99) for the pictures we take for the ceremony.

I wanted to get some ideas of what you guys do for your Gold Award recipients. We used to purchase a brick at our local library but they don't do that anymore.

Any ideas would be very helpful.

        Hi SUM’s,

We offer our Gold Awardees Lifetime Membership. We do ask that they fill out a short application to receive this award, valued at $150 I believe. I also purchase something at the Council ship- last year it was the Gold tone bracelet. I loved the jewelry boxes they has for many years. I used to purchase those for the Silver Awardees and the Gold, but GSNNJ no longer carries them. We honor them at the Court of Awards, present them with their gift and Lifetime membership certificate. I really like the idea of a plaque at Borough Hall.
