While the "Big Boy" gas suppliers are quoting prices above $200 to $300 or more for a tank of helium, I've found that I can get the same tank of He at a small "Mom & Pop" welding supply house for $145....but that may have changed since I last checked with him a few months ago. Hydrogen was about $45.

For those that are new here or may have missed this.
      =

When looking for Hydrogen,, shop around,   when i first got into this 25+ years ago I also used "Gas Suppliers" but after checking into it. what from these "Gas Suppliers" charge $40 bucks locally here,

Local farm supply store that sell welding supplies, can get me the exact same size tanks for as low as 19 bucks.  Highest I have ever paid was i think 29, average 24.

      WOW!

That's Crazy!  Think now with the cluster flight, when you seen all those tanks, what the cost of the HE was alone!

Boy that was an expensive flight to Newfoundland!

I just talked to Praxair, our local gas supplier, regarding current helium and hydrogen costs. They quoted $355 for helium and $40 for hydrogen.
