Ok..that pain that WAS on my side...it's gone! It's been there for
      like 6 months...constant....

Yesterday I went to the hospital because it got extremely bad, and my
heart was just pounding, and pulse and I haven't been able to eat
much for the last two weeks (dropped 10 pds,...not complaining...).
But I've been nauseaus and vomitting...(I actually thought I was
having a heart attack...yes at 23...) so I decided its about time I
went. They did a bunch of tests and gave me this weird thing to
drink "pink lady" ...and today...I have no more pain! I'ts
      completely gone!

I have to go back for an ultrasound, and they are going to refer me
to a gastro(i don't know how to spell the type of specialist) doctor,
at the hospital for me to see.

They think maybe it was my gall bladder. Weird....

But I feel relieved, no more aching annoying pain under my darn rib
around to my back! YAY! And I'm not out of breast from walking to
the bathroom either. (This from someone who runs 5 days a week for
an hour on a treadmill...go figure...)

chronic irritation from the liver. An ultrasound
showed I had one huge gallstone, but free-floating so
it was not considered a problem. Last week though I
was having lots of pains, mostly in that area, for
three days, and also major nausea for the first day.
After 3 days it just went away. I'm thinking that it
might finally be starting to act up. (Like we need any
          more problems!!!!)

Any chance you could have an ulcer? I will get that type of pain...and a
sharp 'backache' when I get one.

Hope you find out something soon.

The liver, gallbladder and pancreas all sorta work together so it makes
sense with our hep c that we would have gallbladder and pancreas
problems also. I don't remember how they work together or even what they
do exactly (although we can live just fine without a gallbladder).

When I was first diagnosed my vet did an autopsy on a dog with me to
show me how all three things....and the digestive system....work
together. But that was before this brain fog settled over me so I can't
                  explain it.

                        Betty,

Funny you should mention ulcers....I'm now going to be tested for
that too...my mom has peptic ulcers....she was born with 2
duodenum's (she went down in medical history for that)...so my doc
wants to rule out what I have and what I don't have. (she also has
                        peptic ulcer disease)

My heart is also getting tested so I get to sport a holter monitor
                        around tomorrow.

Incredible that I have all these "problems", I've never smoked,
woulnd't even consider myself a casual drinker (I never liked the
taste of alcohol) and I will admit to trying drugs but that's as far
as it went. (i'm not gonna get arrested for saying that right?
                        lol...j/k)

Oh well...when life throws you lemons, you try to make lemonaide

yeah, I've talked to a lot of heppers over the years who have gall bladder
problems. Glad that pink stuff whatever it was helped!

My doc and I are watching my kidneys. My mom had some sort of kidney disease
for many many years and was on kidney dialysis a year before she passed on
(died not passed kidney stones a joke haha).

I've had a few kidney and bladder infections in my lifetime and some of it I
think was aggravated by the Hep C and that for so long I just kept getting
antibiotics for infections, not knowing I had hep c and I've read that
antibiotics, their over use, can be bad for kidney stones (or good,
depending on whether you're the stone or the kidney haha).

So yep dere's lots us heppers have that can be caused by hep, aggravated by
hep or just not even related to hep. Not a very "hep" way to live huh?

                          Thank the Goddess it's Friday!
