      > I had a close friend that was accepted for protease inhibitors with the
trials starting December 2003 at University of Chicago Hospital. When the
creatures they had been testng it on for long term effects started dying the
trials were cancelled and it was said that it would be another 2-3 years
before they could start doing clinical trials...they sorta had to go back to
      the drawing board.

have started the clinical trials last December.

inhibitors or other inhibitor-type drugs being tested, but he did say that
for years these type of drugs did NOT appear to be doing well, and these
(whatever he's doing the study on) were some of the first to make it this
far and still appear hopeful. I guess I should have gotten more info! Even
if whatever he is studying does work out it will still be years before they
      are marketable.
