Group Description

This is a group for those of us who follow the dietary principles of Weston A. Price (and the WAPF) and the book Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon and Mary Enig, but we are allergic or intolerant to gluten and/or casein so we've adjusted our diets accordingly. Our diet is a whole foods traditional diet with an emphasis on nutrient-dense animal foods, traditional fats, fat soluble vitamins, and avoidance of modern, processed foods. Some of us have found our way here through The Maker's Diet by Jordan Rubin.

Some of us here have Asperger Syndrome (we're Aspies) and we discuss that occasionally, though it's not a main focus of the group. We also have some parents of ASD kids here.

GFCF stands for Gluten Free Casein Free. We are not merely a wheat free list. Recommendations of foods containing gluten are not appreciated, nor are discussions of diets containing rye, barley, spelt, kamut etc. Some discussion of dairy is fine, but there are some here who cannot tolerate ANY form of it - even ghee, raw goat butter, fermented etc.

There are two topics that are NOT allowed on this list: politics and spiritual beliefs. Thanks.
