Timing for tanks and other armoured vehicles
The following timing can change in case of very bad weather, icy road or snow.
Friday 11 December
Welcome. Installation at Mc Auliffe barracks (1st Artillery Regiment). Unloading and gathering of armoured vehicles at Vaux-sur-Sûre . (15 km south-west of Bastogne). Accommodation in Bastogne or Vaux-sur-Sûre.
Saturday 12 December
9.00 am: convoy to Remagne (6 km throughout woods and on trails) to attend a mock battle in the small village, organised by the "Duty First" club. Various events and inauguration of a monument.
2.00 pm: convoy back to Vaux-sur-Sûre for the night-time battle re-enactment.
2.30 pm: static display at Vaux-sur-Sûre. Discussions with local witnesses of the Battle of the Bulge.
6.00 pm 7.30 pm: night mock battle organised by the HMRA at Vaux-sur-Sûre
8.00 pm: possibility for participants to go to Bastogne (without tanks) to attend the re-enactments organised by the city.
Sunday 13 December
Morning: static display, meeting and discussions with local witnesses of the Battle of the Bulge.
2.00 pm: mock battle at Vaux-sur-Sûre organised by the HRMA.
3.30 pm: convoy to Bastogne for the parade on the main street.
6.00 pm:.the tracked vehicles will drive to McAuliffe barracks for loading or parking during the night.
Information for tracked vehicles
Saturday: 8 km on little muddy trails and 4 km on roads
Sunday: 19 km on roads from Vaux-sur-Sûre to Bastogne for the parade downtown, then 2 km to go back to McAuliffe barracks
