This protest is all over the media in the UK, and there is even a politician involved with it.  It is really amazing how much publicity these protests still get in England while in this country, we get ZILCH. It doesn't matter what we do!

The protest is set to stop outside Harrods

Anti-fur campaigners are marching in protest against some of the UK's highest-profile stores. The march will start with a rally including a speech from Green Party deputy leader Adrian Ramsay.

The London march will pass designer outlets including Gucci, Prada, Versace, Armani and Burberry before stopping outside department store Harrods.  Organizers CAFT (Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade) said the protest was focusing on "some of the most notorious retailers and designers of fur".  CAFT said Harrods was the only department store in the UK still selling real fur.

Farming and trapping animals for fur is illegal in the UK, but fur can be imported legally and sold in UK stores.  CAFT is calling for the importation of fur products to be banned and has urged the public to boycott all stores that continue to sell the product.

Department stores Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and Liberty have all banned the sale of fur in recent years.
