SEC Open Meeting To Consider Money Market Fund Rules
- The Securities and Exchange Commission has scheduled an open meeting on Wednesday, June 5, to consider proposing amendments to its rules governing the operation of money market funds. There are no details concerning the long-awaited proposal, other than that for some reason there will also be proposed related amendments to Form PF (the Reporting Form for Investment Advisers to Private Funds and Certain Commodity Pool Operators and Commodity Trading Advisors). Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the Government in the Sunshine Act, Pub. L. 94-409, that the Securities and Exchange Commission will hold an Open Meeting on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., in the Auditorium, Room L-002.
The subject matters of the Open Meeting will be:
The Commission will consider a recommendation to propose amendments to certain rules under the Investment Company Act that govern the operation of money market funds and related amendments to Form PF under the Investment Advisers Act.
At times, changes in Commission priorities require alterations in the scheduling of meeting items.
