Launched officially onto the Freeview satellite platform this morning, more than a week ahead of time. :-)

Nothing stopping them bringing it forward though Craig, esp if they are paying for a blank screen when they could be earning revenue from advertising. Sky, well that prolly will still be on the 14th.

On their FB page they say "we have some good news to share on Monday...", Probably they are bringing forward their Freeview satellite date me thinks, as it must be costing $$$ to broadcast a blank screen. I guess we'll see. Nothing regarding Sommet in Sky

So Sky win again! It should be FTA on Sky's TP and FV units pointing to that. About time ComCom rules Sky can't charge more than Freeview for a channel to go 'in the clear' on their platform.

They really need a PR consultant on board asap! This is atleast the fifth time they have given an announcement date and failed to deliver. The last one was for over a month, so that lead everyone to believe it would be all sorted by then. They left it till

Trackside is a niche channel, TVNZ is a major broadcaster. As such, Trackside can get away with it. TVNZ wouldn't. It's still owned by the Govt, and is still perceived as the 'national broadcaster'. Advertisers would possibly also boycott TVNZ as well if

Oh well, c'est la vie TVNZ. Call their bluff. I'm sure they wouldn't desert half the population either.
