In all the Irish dance histories out there one constantly hears about the 'Dance Master', who traveled around Ireland transmitting the tradition. The dancing master is almost a thing of the past, with one exception. That exception is Patrick O'Dea and he will be in Oregon a week from today.

Patrick has spend years collecting steps from old-style dancers, many of whom are no longer with us. He is the direct link back to the dances of the 1700's. On Tuesday Feb. 10 he will teach a workshop at the VFW Hall in Salem. All ages and levels are welcome.
