The G.R.O.W. 2008 Conference (Growing Real Opportunities in the World), Sat., Jan. 26, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Portland State University, is co-sponsored by our Young Professionals group, and is designed to create an ongoing collaborative forum for the business and non-profit community within Oregon, to tackle issues centered on the topics of human rights, sustainability and the environment.

Cost for the event is $30, which includes breakfast, lunch, reception, and access to all skills development workshops and project plans. The GROW 2008 organizers are holding 40 spots for World Affairs Council of Oregon and Young Professionals members.

Speakers from notable academic, non-profit and commercial organizations will lead G.R.O.W. 2008 Conference participants through skills development breakout seminars, inspiration-building talks, and non-profit consulting interactive sessions. By uniting the business and non-profit community, we can tackle global issues by working together locally.
