      Aerotek Energy services is looking for business analysts with change and configuration management experience.  

      Position Overview:

      The position resides in the Congestion and Dispatch Support (TOK), in the System Operations (TO) group.   This group provides planning, analysis, engineering, design, project management and maintenance support for systems used within the Control Center environment required to support the operation of an interconnected utility.  This includes performing systems analysis, interfacing with users to support functional requirements development, analysis of tools and techniques to support the development of systems, troubleshooting, analysis, performance monitoring and improvement of systems used by the Dispatch Operation function.


      Task Description:

      Work associated with this position will be directly related to business process support for systems change management, process and compliance requirements for the TOK organization.


      Position Responsibilities include but not limited to:

      • Conduct working sessions to analyze and document current and future state processes that support Dispatchers and Real-Time Schedulers
      • Evaluate and assess business process change impacts and recommend appropriate change mitigation activities
      • Conduct gap analysis to support creation of an implementation plan for future state processes
      • Produce key project management expectation documents including: business requirements, system requirements, process diagrams, project plans, and deployment plans
      • Decompose high-level information into details and abstract up from low-level information to resolve solutions versus requirements
      • Balance priorities and resolve requirement needs among various stakeholders
      • Support organization change and configuration management efforts
      • Other duties as assigned


      Additional Responsibilities:

      • Serve as a process point of contact for the organization
      • Support system modeling
      • Develop and provide training as required
      • Communicate with a wide variety of technical and business experts in both individual and group settings
      • Develop communication plans and associated artifacts for a variety of audiences
      • Provide software quality assurance testing and oversight for organization to ensure compliance with NERC Mandatory Reliability and DOE NIST/FISMA standards and guidelines


      Position Requirements:


      • 5+ years demonstrated analyst experience
      • Knowledge of and experience of technology Change Management concepts and practices
      • Compliance and standards as applied to systems development
      • Process and procedure development
      • Development of business requirements via Use Case Models, Data Flow Models and Technical Specifications
      • Ability to create and manage project plans and schedules
      • Develop stakeholder and sponsor communication plans
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills


      General Skill Requirements:

      Specific skills required to complete the above tasks include: 

      • Experience in any aspect of the software development lifecycle for a high availability environment
      • Experience in the use of change and configuration management tools/systems
      • Previous compliance and/or audit support experience
      • Experience with process development and roll-out
      • MS Project
      • MS Visio
      • MS Word, Excel, and Access


      Highly qualifying criteria:

      • Experience with Project management and coordination concepts and principles
      • Experience in developing and conducting quality assurance tests for software applications
      • Experience with the design and implementation of security standards, policies or procedures in a high availability environment.
      • Experience managing information technology projects
      • Experience in wholesale energy markets and Balancing Authority Area operations
