Have you tried the Book Depository? They're usually pretty good for worldwite sales. Barring that, you can order a signed copy from Mysterious Galaxy bookstore in San Diego, CA. They also ship worldwide. http://www.mystgalaxy.com/

Looked into that store for a signed copy, but shipping was a joke. Maybe
they send it in a lead box? A shame, cause I'd love to get one signed ;)

                Looking forward to it....

I live in the UK. I pre-ordered Casket of Souls, as I have done with the previous two books in this arc from Amazon. This one arrived very promptly (which made me happy) I'm confused about why one person gets the book from Amazon okay but others don't get that same experience.
I have read the book. I really enjoyed it and found it very difficult to put down when life necessitated that I needed to do things like eat and sleep :) It felt like a return to the first series and a bit away from the darker tone of the previous two books. I did enjoy those books but I found some of the themes, and the violence a distraction. There was no fault in the writing which was as good as ever just my issues with some contents breaching my focus on reading the book. Casket of Souls is very good and I'd heartily recommend it (and have been doing so to my friends) Its got me looking forward to the next book very much. Thanks for a great read!

Tahra I empathise. Like I've said before, I had problems with getting copies of the last two books from Amazon UK, pre-ordered copies only to be let down. So I was so happy to actually get my copy, and get it early this time. The problem of getting books is getting harder and harder, I used to get all my SF and Fantasy books from Rog Peyton's wonderful Andromeda bookshop in Birmingham, but alas that is no more. I loved that place so much, even when he move it from it's less than salubrious location in Summer Row, between the sex shop and cinema lol. I always did enjoy walking there from the railway station underneath the ring road .... But oh the magic of that little shop and the authors you got to meet there. But alas no more, and Wolverhampton is increasingly devoid of any bookshops. Bookland closed, Midland Educational, the book department in Beatties, our local department store, spent many a happy hour in there, all gone. As far as I know all we have left is WH Smiths. Sad.

So now, I buy from Amazon for the odd paperback, but the majority of books I buy these days are Kindle versions. Just sad that we can't buy the ebook versions of the Nightrunner books either. Ah for the old days spending hours leafing through every Sci Fi and Fantasy book it seemed in print in Andromeda.

I've had the odd problem with pre-orders with Amazon not showing up or being cancelled at the last minute - thats usually been because they changed the edition they were going to stock and weren't smart about changing the pre-order over. I can usually still get the book from them if I wait a little longer or use book depository. My TBR pile is currently so enormous that I'm not worrying about having to wait a week or two to get a book :) but i know this matters more for other people.
I miss Andromeda and specialist bookshops like it but I'm finding the internet fantastic for finding books these days. I use Abe a lot as well as Amazon and book depository and can find just about anything i want if I'm willing to wait a couple of weeks to get it. I'm not as able bodied as I'd like so the Internet is a great gateway to books for me when bookshops become inaccessible. I live in a big city and there are lots of bookshops but I'm increasingly finding they don't stock much of the genre fiction I want to read and I have to get it from the Internet. I still prefer real books to the kindle so its not upsetting to me if there are no kindle versions available

                          Road

I've had great experiences with Amazon and Book Dep too... But with Lynn's
books, the preorders were messed up, and I ended up with the books a lot
                          later than I thought.

This time I figured maybe I could find it there... no luck :(

I used to like going to bookstores, but lately I kinda hate it.. It's hard
to find everything... I don't have the patience for it anymore. The only bad
things about online is the more recent lack of care with the books. If I
wanted books with folder covers, I'd get them second hand on ebay, right?
And the other problem is that there are a gazillion paperback formats, and
on occasion I ended up with the wrong one. I like the smaller ones, since I
have to carry them about, and then shelve them! In a way, it's a good thing
that in this case we don't have to wait a year to get the paperback, I hate
that. That's how I ended up with a Dance With Dragons hardcover that weighs
over 1.5 Kg. VERY HANDY to read standing, as you can imagine. When I find
the small paperback, I'll get rid of that monster. I digress.

Anyways, I also like rereading all the books too before a new one, but right
now have too many to read... so, just reread the last 2... Anyways, the
older ones are almost commited to memory by now, so...

I also prefer the older ones. These last ones are too big on "supernatural"
stuff that goes way over my head. Not gonna dwell on the rest. They did give
me one of the biggest surprises - when Ilar was revealed I must have done a
big loud "OHHHHHHHHHHHH" on the boat!

Anyway, been staying away from spoilers... Hope the new one brings back
everyone... And that noone ends up dead! I'm MORE THAN READY for the new
one... Hope the wednesday date holds!

                          ... waiting...
